DLP Report (on Twitter) on has posted some menus for “all you can eat” table served restaurant which will be replacing the buffet restaurants during the initial reopening phase of Disneyland Paris.
The posted images indicate guest will be able to choose from a selection of pre-plated dishes. Dishes are categorized into starters, mains and desserts with appropriate accompaniments.

This may put off some more fussy eaters as you have less choice on what is plated for you but as most of the “all you can eat” restaurants are fairly good value, (priced around €35 including a soft drink), and are included in the standard meal plan, we can understand how this pre-plated system would continue to permit good throughput and efficient service for guests.

When Disneyland Paris confirmed its reopening it was unclear how the all you can eat buffet restaurant would operate as “table served”. In Walt Disney World they use platters to bring a selection of the menu to your table. You can then reorder specific item as you desire. I do suspect the way Disneyland Paris is implementing this change will cause some confusion and a significant amount of food waste, but I look forward to seeing this in action.
