The Studio Tram Tour will close on 6th January 2020. The expected reimagined Studio Tram Tour at Walt Disney Studios park will see this attraction become ‘Cars Route 66’. This reimagined attraction will see the current layout shortened and Cars theming and story element will be added . Although re-themed the catastrophe canyon element will feature in the new reimagined attraction.

The entrance will be relocated to Toon Studio near Toy Story Playland. The existing attraction will close and reopen as ‘Car Route 66’ in 2020. This is part of a huge investment in the studios park which will see a new feature lake, new lands including Marvel, Star Wars and Frozen.

Tim’s Thoughts

I think this could be a good change. I’m not a huge fan of the existing tram tour, this was just a replica of the tour in MGM Studios so seem a bit fake. However I am a big fan of Cars and imagineering have create some great Cars attractions in California and Florida so I am hopeful.

I have been a huge Disney Parks fan since my first Walt Disney World trip at the age of 11. I now follow activities and news on all the parks across the world. I actually didn't visit Disneyland Paris until 2017, thinking it was the poor relation to the other Parks, how wrong could I be! Disneyland Paris a beautiful park and is somewhere everyone should experience.
